Steering committee announced for WAIPEC 2018, hosted by Nigeria

The steering committee has been announced for the 2nd West African International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (WAIPEC) 2018, representing a cross section of key senior business leaders and stakeholders from across Nigeria’s oil and gas sector

WAIPEC, which is going to take place at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos from 7-8 February 2018, is one of the largest oil and gas events in the country. It will be held in partnership with Nigeria's petroleum sector and is organised by Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN).

Some of the eminent members of the steering committee include Ademola Adeyemi-Bero, managing director of FIRST Exploration & Petroleum Development Company Limited and Nigerian Independent Oil Companies, Ahmadu Kida Musa, deputy managing director of TOTAL Exploration and Production, Bank Anthony Okoroafor, chairman of PETAN, Geoff Onuoha, vice chairman of PETAN, Bayo Ojulari, managing director of the Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), Dr Mazadu Bako from Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) and others.

The steering committee has formed to guide the content of more than 25 business, technical and special focus sessions, featuring more than 75 prominent industry speakers and representatives from both the regional and international oil and gas community.

Around 6,000 participants, 450 senior VIP delegates and more than 250 companies, including regional NOCs and global IOCs are expected to attend the event, said the organiser.
