The African Petroleum Corporation subsidiary will partner with Kosmos if the outcome of ongoing negotiations is successful.

African Petroleum submitted an application for the block on 30 March 2012, as part of the Sierra Leone third bid round for offshore exploration permits.

African Petroleum currently holds a 100 per cent interest in block SL-03 offshore Sierra Leone where it has completed a 3D seismic survey covering 2,500 sq km.

The seismic data is currently under evaluation in anticipation of future drilling.
