Bowleven, a West Africa-focused oil and gas company, has announced that it will start drilling onshore Cameroon for the first time in February 2015

The UK-based firm said that both the wells — Zingana and Moambe — are situated in the Bomono Licence.

Zingana would be the first drilled onshore Cameroon by Bowleven, which has focused activity offshore country until now.

Bowleven chief executive Kevin Hart added that civil engineering activities, has meanwhile, continued for the second well site Moambe.

Company officials added that they were also awaiting the completion of a US$250mn deal to sell 50 per cent interest in the Etinde Permit offshore Cameroon.
