Petrobras to expand in Angola

BRAZILIAN STATE-RUN energy giant Petrobras plans to expand its exploration activities in Angola, local reports said.

The company's intention was unveiled during an official meeting between Petrobras' boss Jose Sergio Gabrielli and Angola's President Jose Eduardo dos Santos, according to Angola Press.

The news agency, however, did not unveil details of Petrobras' expansion plans, Dow Jones reported.

According to the company's website, it operates in Angola through exploration and production agreements, with shares in six offshore blocks, one in production and the other five in the exploration phase.
