Delegates at next week's Africa Oil Week, which starts on 31 October in Cape Town, will have the opportunity to learn more about the Somalia and Congo-Brazzaville license round plans for 2017
This follows on from significant progress made in developing a framework for Somalian oil and gas exploration. HE Mohamed Mukhtar Ibrahim, minister of petroleum and mineral resources, will be on hand to provide details on the plans for a 2017 license round.
The minister will also host a roadshow to cover further updates for Somalian hydrocarbon development, such as legal and regulatory updates and information on 2D seismic data results.
HE Jean-Marc Thystere Tchicaya, minister of hydrocarbons for the Republic of Congo, will also be updating delegates on the 2016 and 2017 license rounds.
